Please read everything below and email Captain Tim at the bottom if you have any unanswered questions!

What is the Lake George Bar Crawl? It's an organized bar hopping event every weekend where we walk (or crawl) between the best bars in Lake George Village. We spend about 45 minutes at each location, get drink discounts at each spot, dance, laugh, get to know each other then meet outside at the specified time Captain Tim announces beforehand. It's fast, fun, and spontaneous. Play some fun group games with Captain Tim before each bar or run inside to get a head start on getting your next round of drinks.
Which bars do we go to? The itinerary isn't announced beforehand. This encourages the spontaneous atmosphere of the bar crawl. Plus, it keeps the group together because nobody knows where we're going next until we all regroup and arrive at the next bar. Rest assured that as your local guide, Captain Tim has curated a night out with great bars each with the best live music/vibes in town. The order of the bars we go to has been carefully planned over the years to make each one better than the last until we end up at the nightclub at the perfect time to end the night! You're in good hands.
Who should join? All ages over 21 are welcome (seriously, people bring their parents/kids all the time and it's so fun) Anybody who wants to meet new people, try something different, get a local's tour of the best nightlife in Lake George, and not have to worry about which bar they should go to and when.
Who SHOULDN'T join? Anybody who's ideal night out is sitting at one bar for 2 hours and just hanging out or shooting pool and having a low key night. If you don't like meeting new people and letting loose then it might not be right for you. If live music and dancing isn't your thing. You're going to get in a screaming fight with all of your friends as they stuff you into a cab by 11pm because you're too wild (Captain Tim has stories). You can't drink responsibly (no judgement but this is a social drinking event, not a 'Cuse house party).
What time does it end? We get to the nightclub anywhere between 12:45am and 1am (depends on how good Captain Tim is at herding the cats). Once we go in, he's around for about 15 minutes and then the night is yours! Bars close at 3am in Lake George so you may choose to go back to your favorite stop of the night, stay at the club, or head home.
What about food? I like to eat... The kitchen is open at the first and second bars while we're there and there's a late night grill at the club. You get 10% off food! Empty stomach + alcohol = bad times.
What should I bring? Everybody must bring valid photo I.D. The bars will I.D. anyone or everyone at their own discretion (welcome to America). CASH is HIGHLY recommended. If you've ever worked in the restaurant/bar business you know it would be a nightmare if 40+ people all wanted to buy one beer and each pay with a card all at once. Most bars in town have a $20 minimum card tab but also have ATMs onsite. Comfortable shoes are HIGHLY recommended! We will walk across a few different uneven surfaces between the bars and of course there will be slick dancefloors at each venue so pointed heels might not be the best choice! Some bars may deny entry to men wearing sleeveless shirts (sorry- not my call). No large bags or purses allowed in the nightclub.
How many places usually have a cover charge? Pre/Post-season, Friday vs Saturday night, holiday weekends, McGregor vs. Mayweather fights, which bands or DJ is playing that night... these are all things out of my control that may or may not lead to cover charges. But when and if there is a cover charge for everyone else at any of the bars or the nightclub- bar crawlers will not pay it! All that being said, most nights there's a $5 cover charge at the nightclub and two of the bars we usually go to have had $2 - $20 covers in the past for some of the above mentioned reasons.
